This website, thecopperwell.com, is operated by ECOM SCALE SOLUTIONS LLC, trading as The Copper Well. Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to The Copper Well.

By visiting our website or buying from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. They apply to everyone who uses the site. Please read them carefully — and if you don't agree with them, please don't use our store.

To place an order you must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian. You agree not to use our products or website for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or refuse access to anyone who breaks these terms.

When you click "Pay now", you're making an offer to buy the items in your basket. You'll then receive an email confirming we've received your order — this is not yet our acceptance.

Our contract with you begins when we accept your order, which happens when our artisans start making your piece. If we can't accept your order (for example, because of a pricing error or a problem with the materials), we'll let you know and refund you in full.

Every piece is made for you once you order, which takes around 5–6 business days before it's shipped.

• Every piece is unique. Because each one is hammered by hand, small variations in texture, shape and tone are normal and are not a defect.
• Changes to your order. Contact us as soon as possible. Once your piece is in the making, we may not be able to change it.

All prices are in pounds sterling (£). Any taxes or charges that apply to your order are shown at checkout before you pay.

We may change our prices at any time, but a price change will never affect an order you've already placed.

All payments are processed securely and encrypted. Card details are never stored by us.

Most orders arrive within 4–7 business days of being placed, and UK shipping is free on every order. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.

Your order becomes your responsibility once it has been delivered to the address you gave us.

Under UK law, you can cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason.

Because our pieces are standard designs made to order — not personalised to your specifications — being made to order doesn't affect this right. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

We do our best to show our pieces accurately, but colours can look slightly different depending on your screen.

• Copper changes with time. It darkens and develops a natural patina when exposed to air, water and skin. This is normal and is not a fault — the shine can be restored with simple cleaning.
• Temporary marks on skin. Copper can leave a harmless green mark on some people's skin. It washes off with soap and water.
• Our products are jewellery and homeware. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods you buy from us must be:

• of satisfactory quality,
• fit for purpose, and
• as described.

If something is wrong with your piece, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

If you send us a review, comment, idea or photo, you allow us to publish, edit for length and share it in connection with our store.

Reviews must be genuine and based on your own experience. We only publish reviews from real customers, and we don't hide negative ones.

How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Our website may include tools or links provided by other companies (for example, payment providers). We don't control these services and aren't responsible for their content. Their own terms apply when you use them.

Occasionally our website may contain errors in product descriptions, prices, promotions or availability. We reserve the right to correct them. If an error affects an order you've placed, we'll contact you and give you the choice to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

You may not use our website for any unlawful purpose, to infringe anyone's intellectual property, to upload harmful code, or to harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the rest of the terms will still apply.

These terms apply until ended by you or by us. Any obligations that arose before that point will still apply.

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Shipping, Refund and Privacy policies, form the full agreement between you and us about your use of our store.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales — or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your home country.

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page. Any changes apply to orders placed after the update — not to orders you've already made.
