We didn't invent copper cookware. We fell in love with it. And then we found the artisans who make it the way it deserves to be made.
How TheCopperWell Began
It started with a journey. While traveling through Asia, we stumbled upon a small community where master artisans have been hand-crafting copper goods for generations. We watched them work — hammering, shaping, perfecting each piece with techniques passed down through decades. There was something sacred about it.
These weren't industrial factories. These were real craftspeople in a region known for its deep respect for traditional metalwork. And more importantly, they were doing something we hadn't seen anywhere else: they were giving copper a second life.
Instead of mining new copper — a process that devastates landscapes and pollutes water systems — these artisans source their material from electronic waste. Old devices, broken cables, discarded tech: they collect these materials, extract the copper responsibly, and transform them into heirloom-quality cookware and home goods.
We realized immediately: this was the way forward. Not just better copper products, but better copper ethics.
